This week we had a few of our districts come together for 2 days of learning at the PLC Academy with Tim Brown.

Today we had the opportunity to visit Highland High School during their CTE Showcase. We heard presentations from students that are enrolled in each of their Career & Technical Education Programs of Study. The programs they offer are exceptional and their students are graduating with the skills needed to enter college or the workforce after high school. A variety of partnerships have been established with local businesses and industries as well. Keep up the great work!

The Salem High School Family and Consumer Science Program was awarded a $5,000 Farm to School Kitchen Equipment Grant from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. This Grant will provide students with new and fun equipment that can help show different ways to cook vegetables, fruits, and nuts. They will learn how to incorporate the fresh produce into their daily lives while also having fun learning new recipes.
